BASF Awards Scholarships To CACC Students

BASF Corp. awarded $30,000 in college scholarships to three local students, James Brannon Bayles, James Maddux Everett and Sean Morris, to attend Coastal Alabama Community College (CACC) to help them pursue careers in chemical manufacturing. In addition to paying the tuition and fees for these students, BASF is providing them with an eight-week internship at its McIntosh, Alabama, site this summer to participate in its process technology program. Doug Lundy, 2022 scholarship winner and intern, has also been awarded $5,000 and will take part in the program again this summer. BASF’s McIntosh site offers a two-year scholarship annually for students participating in the CACC chemical process technology program. Scholarships are awarded based on academic accomplishments, testing and an interview.
