PRCA Mobile April Meeting To Be Held April 25

The Public Relations Council of Alabama (PRCA) Mobile Chapter is hosting “Your Journey to the Top: Become a Pro!” on April 25 at 11:30 a.m. at the Community Foundation of South Alabama. Mikala McCurry, communications and public relations specialist with the Alabama Securities Commission, will discuss the path to obtaining Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) and offer advice, strategies and personal experiences. The PRCA Mobile Chapter says APR marks a dedication to evolving professionally, being at the forefront of industry trends and leading with innovation and insight. McCurry has worked in the media, insurance, accounting, nonprofit and government sectors to gain a well-rounded view of PR in many industries. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies and a master’s in strategic communications from Troy University. In 2023, she was recognized as a recipient of the Southern Public Relations Federation’s 2023 Young Practitioner of the Year award and named on Central Alabama’s 40 Under 40 List.
