Sea Glass Initiative Announces ICW Poker Run

The Sea Glass Initiative, a Foley-based nonprofit with a mission to provide hope to the homeless, is presenting the inaugural Salty Shuffle Charity Poker Run on June 14 at 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the new Legendary Marina in Gulf Shores. The family-friendly event will see participants cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway, stopping at various waterfront locations to collect poker chips. The more stops made and the more support given to Sea Glass Initiative partners by purchasing food or drinks, the more chips participants will earn. At 3 p.m. at a wrap-up party at Legendary Marina, those chips will translate into poker hand cards for a chance to win big. The party will also have live music and games like Plinko, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction. Tickets start at $30, and many sponsorship levels are available. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit.
