UWSWA Announces Fundraising Campaign

United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) has announced its fifth-annual United Way Day for June 9 and 10. Led by the retail and service industries, it encourages people to shop and dine at participating merchants in Southwest Alabama, with donations going to UWSWA. Area businesses are encouraged to become participating vendors by committing to donate to UWSWA based on some component of their business sales. Examples include donating 10% of sales, donating $1 from each transaction or item purchased or offering customers the option to round up their total for UWSWA. This year, UWSWA aims to double the number of retail partners from last year’s 56 to support more local businesses and increase donations. To become a merchant or for more information, contact UWSWA at phone: 251-433-3624 or email.
