UWSWA Hires Outreach, Engagement Coordinator

The United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) recently announced Lindsay Lum as its coordinator of new outreach and community engagement. Lum will coordinate volunteers and affinity groups; leadership development; company- or agency-sponsored programs; provide case management for UWSWA’s disaster services; and work with community organizations to plan, organize, implement and evaluate community impact activities. After graduating from the University of Alabama, Lum returned to her hometown of Mobile to provide crisis counseling and resources to individuals and families impacted by Hurricane Katrina. She will help meet the needs of community members in Mobile, Choctaw, Clarke and Washington counties.
