According to AL.com, Ren Seafoods paid $4.17 million for the former Smith’s Bakery building and property at 1201 West I-65 Service Road North in Mobile, according to Marietta Urquhart and Jamie Ison of White-Spunner Realty, who represented the buyer. David Dexter of CRE Mobile worked for the sellers. Ren Seafoods plans to invest $12.4 million to develop a processing facility and distribution hub (Two New Additions for Port Of Mobile). Also in Mobile, The House of Rescue Ministry – Redemption Place has received tentative planning approval to build a 10,800-ft2 church that seats 300 at 808 Magnolia Road just north of Pleasant Valley Road, according to the Mobile Planning Commission. The 2.6 acre site is in an R-1 zoning area. Nearby, in the Pinebrook Shopping Center at 3950 Airport Boulevard, PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans has leased 1,246 ft2 of space and plans to open this fall, according to Robert Cook of Vallas Realty, who represented the chain. In Daphne, Eastern Shore Power Systems and Accurate Group of Florida have leased industrial warehouse space at 25251 Friendship Road, according to Andrew Dickman of Stirling Properties, who handled the transaction. In Foley, BIG Potato Co. has leased 2,400 ft2 in the Shoppes of Foley at 3105 South McKenzie Street, according to Cook, who handled the transaction.
