The Highland Group Announces Record Year

Real estate development and commercial construction firm The Highland Group, which headquarters its Gulf Coast Region in Foley, recently announced 2021 as a record-breaking year. From 2020 to 2021, the general contractor saw revenue soar 188% and hired 20 new employees, expanding its team by 37%. In 2021, it developed and constructed projects throughout the Southeast, creating thousands of jobs and investing tens of millions of dollars in local economies across the region. The growth was fueled by numerous landmark projects, as well as strategic expansions in its key areas of expertise, including hotels, resort amenity centers and multifamily construction. A specific achievement was its being named general contractor for the $40-million expansion project at Camp Creek Golf Club in Watersound, Florida. Now with three offices located throughout the Southeast, The Highland Group said it is poised to continue its growth, with projections already forecasting a 25% increase in its number of employees in 2022.
