Mobile Bay Maker’s Market To Be Held At American Legion Post 199

Fairhope’s Mobile Bay Maker’s Market, previously held at South Beach Park, will be held at the American Legion Post 199 in Fairhope for the next few markets, WKRG reported. Founded by Amanda Webb, the market gives people a chance to shop from locally owned vendors that must create, grow or make at least 80% of what they sell. Webb created the market as a place where local artisans and business owners could come together to showcase their talent and work. Fairhope Mayor Sherry Sullivan said the city will soon begin a waterfront restoration project around the pier beginning with South Beach Park, so the market had to relocate. The project could take up to two years to finish, and in the meantime, the city is working to make revisions to park ordinances.
