Franklin To Host Celebrity Golf Tournament

Franklin Primary Health Center, Inc. will host its 28th annual Celebrity Golf Tournament on September 20 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Magnolia Grove in Mobile. The event begins with an 8 a.m. tee-off. Franklin says this year’s tournament holds special meaning, as it will raise funds to replace its aging mobile health unit, which has long delivered essential care to patients in underserved and rural communities. A new unit will help Franklin expand access to life-saving screenings and primary care services, including immunizations, mammograms, well-child visits and dental exams, directly to schools, neighborhoods and community events across Mobile, Baldwin, Conecuh, Escambia, Monroe and Choctaw counties. This year’s tournament offers competition and prizes for hole-in-ones, the longest drive, the closest to the pin and more. Among the most highlights is the $25,000 James E. Buskey Hole-In-One Sponsorship that honors the enduring legacy of the late Alabama Rep. James E. Buskey.
