OWA to Host Oktoberfest-Style Events

According to AL.com, the OWA amusement complex in Foley will present a German-themed celebration it calls “Nachtspiele” (“night games”) on November 14 at 4-8 p.m. Nachtspiele is a chance to enjoy German-inspired entertainment and food and sample specialty German beers at various OWA restaurants and bars. It’s also a chance for four-person teams to compete for cash and other prizes in the games of the Nachtspiele Gauntlet. Games include a stein-holding contest, a partner-carrying contest, thumb wrestling and beer sliding. Admission is free.
