Teaming Up For Ccharacter Program Teaches Tennis To Local Students

 Through a partnership with the Mobile Tennis Center and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), some of the best collegiate players in the country recently visited local schools to teach students the fundamentals of tennis. For the 22nd consecutive year, the NAIA National Tennis Championships were played at the Mobile Tennis Center, and participating teams visited public and private elementary schools throughout the area to give tennis lessons during PE classes. In 2024, approximately 600 student-athletes from 48 NAIA-affiliated colleges provided introductory tennis lessons to more than 4,100 local elementary students.
