USSA Names Two Sports Artists Of The Year

DAPHNE, Ala. — Sculptor Brett Grill and painter James Peterson have been named the United States Sports Academy’s (USSA) 2022 Sport Artists of the Year and will be featured at the USSA annual Awards of Sport program, which will be free and open to the public at the academy’s campus in Daphne on November 10. Since 1984, the Academy’s Sport Artist of the Year Award has been given to individuals who capture the spirit and life of sport so that future generations can relive the drama of today’s competition. The recipients may use a variety of art media, including film, video or sculpture to depict the breadth and scope of both the agony and the ecstasy of sport.
