Orange Beach Donates to Miracle League

The Miracle League of Coastal Alabama received a $20,000 donation from the City of Orange Beach on October 5 during the city council’s regular council meeting, GulfCoastNewsToday.com reported. The donation comes with a pledge to match up to $100,000 in donations made by other Baldwin County municipalities. The league’s goal is to build a baseball park and playground navigable by wheelchairs on 40 acres off County Road 71 donated by the City of Summerdale in 2019. Plans are being made to complete phase one and move on to phase two of construction for the site, which is estimated to include $2.7 million in facilities. So far, the Miracle League has raised $950,000.
