Trim-A-Tree Art Sale Taking Place In Foley

One of the Foley Art Center’s primary fundraisers, Trim-A-Tree, is taking place at the Foley Art Center at 2 North McKenzie Street in Foley. It opens with a festive reception on November 8 at 5-7 p.m. There will be light refreshments for attendees, who will browse a selection of one-of-a-kind handmade crafts and fine arts by more than 50 local artists and artisans. The overall event will continue at the Foley Art Center until December 23 and feature unique creations from more than 125 artists and crafters from across the Southeast. Gulf Coast Media reports that, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, visitors may explore holiday items including ornaments, stained glass, wood carvings, jewelry and original artwork in various mediums. There will also be intricate quilts, textiles, driftwood sculptures and hand-woven rugs.
