Downtown Foley Accepted Into Growth Accelerator

FOLEY, Ala. — Downtown Foley, through Foley Main Street, has been accepted into the Opportunity Alabama Community Growth Accelerator Program. The 10-12-week program is designed to help communities identify and scale real estate projects and economic development initiatives that can be competitive for private investment or grant funding. During it, communities execute pre-development work and design high-quality programs with the goal of securing new sources of public and private investment for those initiatives. The selective program only accepts 12-18 communities per year. Additionally, Foley Main Street is rolling out its final Envision Plan for the city at its 3X Exchange meeting on October 11 at 3-5 p.m. at the Truist (old BB&T) building in Foley. According to Foley Main Street, the extensive work done in the plan made its acceptance into the accelerator program possible.
