BCEC Palm Project Launched In Baldwin County

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. — The Baldwin County Education Coalition (BCEC) has announced the launch of Palm Project with a goal of helping Baldwin County students succeed inside and outside the classroom. The in-school and online resource is composed of committee members, volunteers and donors who aim to help reduce factors of stress that can negatively impact students’ ability to perform. School counselors, social workers and principals are authorized to shop for items needed for their school on BCEC’s website. A Palm Project representative will then deliver the items to the school. Items will be placed in the school’s “Care Closet” and given to students in need. They can include school supplies, hygienic products, clothing, household items, first aid, food and beverages, and payment of fees for graduation or testing.
