Orange Beach Schools Wins Grant For Athletic Complex

Orange Beach City Schools has received a second Alabama K-12 Capital Grant from the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Alabama. The grant, totaling $182,804, will enhance safety and security at the system’s $46.1-million under-construction athletic complex. The funding will be used to install advanced surveillance cameras and door access equipment in spring 2025. The project is to be completed in July 2025. The first such grant the system received, in 2023, was $2.5 million for the athletic complex, which the system calls “a district cornerstone project” that “symbolizes Orange Beach City Schools’ focus on blending academics, arts, and athletics….”
