Franklin Primary Health Center To Celebrate National Health Center Week

Franklin Primary Health Center will celebrate National Health Center Week, August 2-8, with three free community health and resource fairs, a virtual mental health presentation and activities recognizing the patients, employees and community partners who support its mission. This year’s celebration is centered on the theme, “Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most.” Franklin’s free, family-friendly Passport to Wellness Community Health & Resource Fairs will be held on August 4 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Maysville Medical Center, 1956 Duval Street in Mobile; August 5 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at North Baldwin Family Health Center, 201 Dolive Street in Bay Minette; and August 6 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at South Baldwin Family Health Center, 1628 North McKenzie Street in Foley. Each event will feature blood pressure checks, body-mass-index assessments, dental and vision screenings, community resources, games, giveaways, refreshments and more. The events are open to the public, and all ages are welcome. Franklin will also present Trauma Effects on Everyday Life, a free virtual program on August 3 from noon-1 p.m. The presentation will examine how trauma can affect emotional, physical and social well-being and share information about healing, coping skills and resilience.
