Mobile County Board Of Health Elects Officers For 2024

The Mobile County Board of Health elected its officers for 2024 during its monthly meeting. Dr. Danuel J. Laan will serve as chairman, while Dr. Caroline E. McGugin, a new member, is taking on the role of secretary. Returning members include Dr. Michael L. Sternberg, Dr. Minh Pham, Dr. De’Arco R. McCreary, Laan and Mobile County Commission President Randall Dueitt. Last year, Sternberg served as chairman, while Pham served as secretary. Another new member joining the board is Dr. Brandon F. Bodie. Outgoing members of the board include Dr. Desiree A. Soter-Pearsall and Dr. Michael C. Chang, who received plaques in appreciation. While on the board, Soter-Pearsall served as chairman in 2022 and secretary in 2020. Chang served as secretary in 2021.
