Urology Associates First In U.S. To Offer Prostate Cancer Injection

Urology Associates has become the first urology practice in the U.S. to offer Vabrinty, a groundbreaking injectable treatment for patients with prostate cancer. The new therapy, Vabrinty, is an androgen deprivation therapy injection. The injection works by lowering or blocking male hormones, such as testosterone, that can drive the growth of prostate cancer cells. The first patient in the country to receive Vabrinty in a urology practice setting was treated at Urology Associates under Dr. Zachary Reardon’s care, marking a historic moment for both the practice and patients along the Gulf Coast. As prostate cancer remains one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in men, access to new and effective treatment options is critical.
