Little Bird Opens In Fairhope

According to information reported by AL.com, Deep Roots Restaurant Group recently opened Little Bird at 404 Oak Avenue in Fairhope. The chef is Bill Briand, a multi-time nominee for the James Beard Award. Deep Roots also operates Fairhope’s The Hope Farm restaurant and event venue, and The Hope Farm co-founders Robert and Bentley Evans are partners in the new venture. The menu will feature raw bar offerings, entrees that highlight Briand’s signature style and a separate lunch menu for a more casual experience. Briand started his career at Emeril’s in New Orleans and went on to work at the highly regarded Cochon Restaurant and Cochon Butcher before moving to the Alabama coast around 2013. He made a name for himself as chef at the now-closed Fisher’s at Orange Beach Marina developing a style he has called “seafood Southern soul food.”
