Impact 100 Baldwin County Grants $600,000 To Nonprofits

Impact 100 Baldwin County has given six area nonprofits $600,000 in grants. The recipients were Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre for “Amplifying Young Voices at The Nicholson Center for the Arts”; Dream Center of Baldwin County for “Dream Center Youth Services Expansion Initiative”; Mobile Baykeeper for “Oyster Keeper: Community-Led Oyster Restoration for Baldwin County”; The Sea Glass Initiative, Inc. for “Moving Hope Forward: A Vehicle for Change”; The Shoulder of the Central Gulf Coast for “The Family Center”; and the Alabama Sheriffs Youth Ranches – Baldwin County Boys Ranch for “Strong Bodies, Strong Futures: Playground & Fitness Initiative.” Each will receive $100,000. They were selected from a competitive field of applicants and vetted by a rigorous review process including site visits, financial analysis and in-depth discussions within the focus groups. The finalists made a short presentation about their projects, and Impact 100 Baldwin County members voted for the most compelling.
