Carnival not Coming to Mobile for Another Four Months

According to AL.com, Carnival Cruise Line has announced that its service will not return to Mobile until January 2022. While the Carnival Sensation, which will be homeported in Mobile, was scheduled to start sailing from the Alabama Cruise Terminal on October 21 (BBN #51), “supply chain realities” are the reason for the delay, Carnival President Christine Duffy said. So far, Mobile’s delay is the only one pushed back to January. Carnival has eight ships already in operation with fully vaccinated guests aboard and is planning more restarts over this month and the next.
