Prodisee Pantry Turkey Trot To Be Held Saturday

The 15th annual Prodisee Pantry Turkey Trot will be held in Old Towne Daphne this Saturday, October 26, with both a certified 5K race and a fun run/walk. The race starts at 8 a.m. on Main Street at City Hall. It follows a fast course winding through Old Towne Daphne. The Fun Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m. Walkers are encouraged to participate in the Fun Run. Prizes will be awarded for largest team, most funds raised, team spirit, most cans collected, cutest booth and more. Proceeds from the Turkey Trot benefit Prodisee Pantry, Baldwin County’s largest nonprofit emergency food pantry. The Turkey Trot provides funding for Prodisee Pantry’s Thanksgiving project. Last November, in addition to a weekly emergency food allocation, 9 T. of turkey and more than 18 T. of special holiday foods were provided to 1,400 families.
