Orange Beach Middle Granted Nearly $200,000

Orange Beach Middle School has announced the receipt of its third consecutive Middle School Innovation Grant, totaling $198,890.60, to further enhance its Career and Technical Education offerings. The grant was secured by Career and Technical Education Director Mary Courtney and will fund the creation of an advanced recording studio for graphics and video production, streaming services and TV production for students. These resources will serve as a bridge to Orange Beach High School’s Career and Technical Pathway, equipping students with skills to create digital content for websites, social media platforms and electronic displays. They will be able to livestream school and systemwide events, operate advanced digital displays and explore career pathways in digital media and technology.
