SBCT To Host Parrot Head Show

The South Baldwin Theatre (SBCT) is hosting An Afternoon with Peter, Jim and Brendan Mayer on October 23 during the Meeting of the Minds Convention at the theater at 2022 West 2nd Street in Gulf Shores. It will benefit the Parrot Head Emergency Phund, which aids Parrot Heads with financial assistance during difficulties resulting from a natural disaster. A preshow reception and silent auction will be held at 2-2:45 p.m., with the performance taking place at 3-4:30 p.m. Peter Mayer, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, has been with Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band for more than 30 years. He also follows his own musical path with both national and international tours and has released 20 live and studio albums. Jim Mayer is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur and children’s advocate. He is best known as a longtime bassist for the Coral Reefer Band, having played, toured and recorded with Buffett since 1989. He is also a children’s musician and performer who has had two No. 1 hits on Sirius XM Kids. Brendan Mayer is a guitarist, vocalist and songwriter who released his first album, Getaway Car, on Jimmy Buffett’s Mailboat Records after touring a year with the Coral Reefer Band in 2014. Together, they play as a trio performing music from their catalogs. There will be no concessions during the show or allowed in the auditorium, but charcuterie, wine, beer and soft drinks will be served prior to the show.
